The Heritage Christian family would like to welcome you and your family to join us as we seek to provide an excellent educational experience based on the authoritative and inerrant Word of God. Heritage Christian is accredited by ASCI and WASC and we offer a comprehensive education where we provide opportunities for your students both inside and outside of the classroom. Non-Discrimination Policy
Heritage Christian School admits students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to the students of the school. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national and ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, financial aid programs, athletics and other school administered programs.
The first step to apply is to create an account and begin the application process. Once the application is complete and you have uploaded the required documents, you will select the “submit” button to complete your application. Following submission, you will be given instructions on how to pay the non-refundable registration fee.
Refer a Friend
a) paying tuition for enrolled students in K-12 or
b) are paying full-time childcare for children attending Heritage Christian School Preschool.
This incentive award is available whether the referred new family enrolls at the beginning of the year or during the school year. When you refer a new family, simply fill out the form and turn it into the school office so that it is on file when the family enrolls. Failure to tum in a completed Referral Incentive Program form will make the referring family ineligible for the reward. Incentive award consideration does not apply to the referral of returning Heritage Christian School students.

Is HCS accredited?
Yes, we are fully accredited through the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI), as well as from the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC).
Are your teachers credentialed?
Yes, we hire qualified teachers that align with our Mission Statement and fulfill our accreditation requirements.
What are your school hours?
Before care: 7:00 a.m. – 8:30 a.m.
Preschool/Elementary 8:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
JH/HS 8:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
After care: 3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. (minimum day 12:30 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.)
Do you offer before and after care and holiday care?
Yes, we offer before and after school daycare as well as summer camp and holiday care, from 7:00am to 6:00pm for preschool through 6th grade.
Do you offer a hot lunch program?
Yes, we offer daily options from local eateries.
Is there a dress code at HCS?
Yes, we have school uniform requirements for all students in grades PS-12. Our uniform vendor is Bella Embroidery and options for ordering include online and in person.
What sports does HCS offer?
We offer team athletics in grades 4-8 and we participate in the competitive Chrtistian Athletic League of Orange County (CALOC) in grades 5-8. Individual sports programs for high school students include the following sports for both boys and girls: volleyball, basketball and flag football. In addition, we have a cheer program for our elementary and junior high students.
How are admissions decisions determined?
Families apply online and are accepted with payment, proper documentation, assessment results and our capacity to assist your child based on their individual needs. Should a grade level be at capacity, students will be placed on a wait list based on time of enrollment.
Does HCS give special consideration to siblings?
Yes, a 10% sibling discount is given beginning with the 2nd oldest sibling’s tuition.
Do you have chapel services?
Yes, we have weekly chapel and special chapels scheduled throughout the year for Grandparents, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter and Student Awards.
What student activities are offered?
A multitude of student activities are available including: ASCI school and regional spelling, speech, music, art, math and science competitions. Leadership opportunities such as Patriot Pals, Student Council, and Christian community service. We also have visual and performing arts productions and after school music programs and many field trips scheduled throughout the year for all grade levels.
What curriculum do you use?
Our curriculum is based on a written standards-based curriculum guide and taught through a Biblical Worldview with God’s Word at the center of each subject. HCS will review textbooks to ensure that they help to maintain an environment of rigor and a Biblical Worldview. Textbooks used to conduct the mission of our school will be from BJU Press, Houghton-Mifflin, and Prentice Hall.
What testing do you administer?
HCS requires each student in K-9th grade complete a full battery of tests each Spring. Tests are also given in Mathematics and Language Arts each Fall. HCS also offers the PSAT exam to 10th and 11th grade students.
What is your class structure?
Grades K-6 are taught in a traditional classroom setting with one main teacher that provides the core curriculum using the latest technology. In addition, teachers for PE, Art, Music, and Spanish are also provided. Junior High and High School are set up with a class schedule and students have a variety of teachers for core subjects and chosen electives where students rotate classrooms.
What are your school immunization requirements?
In accordance with the California School Immunization Law SB277, HCS requires all students to receive immunizations before entry into school. Families are asked to submit up-to-date immunization records or a valid Medical Exemption issued by CAIR with the enrollment paperwork. Do you allow parent involvement?
Yes! We believe that our school-family involvement is so important to Heritage Christian School that we have included it in our mission statement!
Do you use a Student Information System?
Yes, the software is provided by Gradelink with each family being issued login credentials to access class and assignment grades, due dates, upcoming homework and more.
